On Wednesday, 27th March 2024, the Uganda National NGO Forum (UNNGOF) organized a high-level engagement with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) at Mestil Hotel in Kampala. This event was part of Uganda’s preparatory activities for its third Voluntary National Review (VNR) on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The consultation aimed to gather insights and contributions from CSOs to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive VNR report.

Various plenary sessions facilitated discussions on the progress and challenges of SDG implementation in Uganda. Participants focused on key issues such as poverty eradication, food security, climate action, and institutional inclusivity, aligning with the SDGs under review at the upcoming High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York.

This engagement marked a significant step in Uganda’s VNR process, ensuring that the voices of civil society are integral to the nation’s sustainable development strategies. The insights gathered will contribute to the comprehensive report to be presented at the HLPF in July 2024, demonstrating Uganda’s commitment to the 2030 Agenda
