The 2024 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Data Fact Sheet for Uganda

We are pleased to present the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Data Fact Sheet 2024, a comprehensive document detailing Uganda’s progress towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This fact sheet represents a critical analytical tool, offering data on 127 of the 201 SDG indicators relevant to Uganda.

  • Coverage and Scope: The fact sheet encapsulates data for 127 indicators out of the 201 that are pertinent to Uganda, providing an extensive overview of the country’s current standing in relation to the SDGs.
  • Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs): The data presented is integral to Uganda’s third Voluntary National Review (VNR), serving as a vital component of the global SDG monitoring and accountability process.
  • Mid-term Assessment: Released at the midpoint of the 2030 Agenda’s implementation, this fact sheet offers insights into the country’s progress, challenges, and the steps forward.

The fact sheet draws from the SDG Indicator matrix, maintained and periodically updated by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) and the SDG Secretariat. This ensures the data is timely, reliable, and essential for tracking Uganda’s journey towards achieving the SDGs.
