UN Resident Coordinator Uganda
Ms. Susan Ngongi Namondo (Cameroon) took up her assignment as the UN Resident Coordinator in Uganda in June 2021. Prior to that she was the UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Eritrea (2017- 2021). She was UNICEF Representative in Ghana (2013-2017). She was assigned as UNICEF Representative in Comoros (2010-2013) and Deputy Representative in Liberia (2008-2010). From 2006-2008, she was an Emergency Programme Specialist in New York and during 2005, she served as an Emergency Project Officer with UNICEF in Nairobi, Kenya. In 2004, Susan was an Emergency Officer in Malakal with UNICEF Sudan, after she worked in South Sudan as a Resident Project Officer in Rumbek (2001-2002) and Lokichoggio (2000-2001). Before this assignment, Susan was a Consultant with IFAD in Rome, Italy (2000).
Susan holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University in New York, USA and a Master’s degree in Animal Health from the University of Reading, UK. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
